Huddle TV
The end of 2009 also wraps up our two NFL shows. Both Inside the Huddle (Green Bay Packer themed, 7th season) and Chicago Huddle (Chicago Bears themed, 3rd season) enjoyed strong seasons. Despite a rough season on the field by the Bears, Chicago Huddle posted some of its best ratings in the history of the show.
Inside the Huddle also enjoyed ratings success including being the #1 Football show in Green Bay. Once again Inside the Huddle was the only Packers player-hosted show to air statewide. In addition to Host Donald Driver, fans were treated to appearances by Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant, Jermichael Finley, B.J. Raji and more.
A number of different companies found unique ways to reach consumers through Huddle TV. In Chicago, Wendy’s capped off their Wendy’s High School Heisman campaign with a year-end awards ceremony at a Chicago Huddle taping at the ESPNZone. MillerCoors utilized IN-SHOW product shots to highlight their Bears Legends Glassware.
US Cellular was able to activate programs in both markets including the US Cellular Photo of the Week within Chicago Huddle and the US Cellular Text Message Question of the Week during Inside the Huddle.
Inside the Huddle gave Kwik Trip a platform to run a season long in-store contest for backstage passes to the show. Piggly Wiggly’s In The House segment provided viewers with access to the Off the Field lives of their favorite Packers and great recipes all season long.
We now look forward to a long playoff run by the Packers, and Inside the Huddle will be there every step of the way. After the Super Bowl, it is a short break before the Ryan Braun News Network kicks off its second season.

Talk about a Big 4th Quarter
Could Donald Driver have had a bigger 4th Quarter for 2009? In October he became the Green Bay Packers All-time Leading Receiver surpassing NFL Hall of Famers Don Hutson and James Lofton plus Sterling Sharpe. In November he won the Galloping Gobbler Award, given out by the NFL on FOX for the Best Performance during the Annual Thanksgiving Game. In December, the Packers clinched a playoff spot and Donald released Quickie Handles a Loss. The book is the second of the "Quickie" children's book series. Both books are written by Donald and inspired by bedtime stories he shares with his two children Cristian and Christina. Quickie Handles a Loss is available at many fine retailers including Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Shopko, Goodwill & Piggly Wiggly stores.
L.S. Emmy's
And now to wrap up 2009, it is time for the L.S. Emmy's, an annual award just slightly less prestigious than the Oscars...
Favorite Appearance of the Year...The L.S. Emmy goes to Bears Fullback Jason McKie and Donald Driver visiting the Great Lakes Naval Base just outside of Chicago. Seeing the excitement on the face of the hundreds of soldiers who have a made such a great commitment to our country was a very special thing
Most Touching TV Show Moment of the Year...The L.S. Emmy goes to the "Donald Driver Through the Years Highlight Reel" that aired on Inside the Huddle after Donald broke the Packers All-time Receiving record. Watching the toughest receiver in the NFL get choked up was a powerful moment indeed.
Funniest TV Show Moment of the Year...The L.S. Emmy goes to Bears Running Back Matt Forte who was asked what was one thing he could not live without if stranded on a desert island, he deftly replied: "Grocery Store". Smart Man, if you have a fully stocked Piggly Wiggly at your disposal, you're pretty much set.
Biggest Choke of the Year...The L.S. Emmy goes to Lammi Sports Management Vice President, Dan Cary who missed an easy "Kill Shot" on the 9 Ball in the Donald Driver Pool Tournament, despite a great coaching effort by teammate Aaron Rodgers.
Best Speech of the Year...The L.S. Emmy goes to Super Bowl Champion Brad Johnson. Brad addressed the Saint Louis Billikens Basketball team earlier this year. After watching Brad connect with 13 18-22 year olds you could immediately see how he was able to lead the Buccaneers to Super Bowl XXXVII.
